We were constantly asked to combine our shatterproof Armourglass crystal with our lightweight carbon fiber reinforced cases. It wasn’t easy since the Armourglass requires a very special fitting. Despite the challenges, we found a way to make it happen and combine the best of both worlds. We proudly introduce the all-new ArmourLite Operator Series watches! For the ultimate protection, the shatterproof Armourglass crystal can withstand up to 6,000 Vickers, whereas most watch crystals can only withstand about 700. Using the same technology as bulletproof glass, we have achieved a crystal that won’t shatter even when one layer is compromised. Long-lasting illumination is made possible by tritium markers by Trigalight. Powering this watch is a reliable Ronda 515 quartz movement. For the underwater explorers, this dive-friendly watch offers a water resistance of 100 meters and a unidirectional ratcheting diver bezel to keep track of elapsed dive time.

Let me start by saying that so far the customer service people at Armourlite have been great, I mistook this for a stainless steel band when it is in fact the polyurethane one. The armourglass is not tough. I have already put scratches in it and was informed by the company that the armourglass is more about being shatter resistant and that the sapphire stands up to being scratched better. I find this to be absurdly different from the way it is advertised. So make sure to buy one of their watches that comes with a sapphire crystal. All in all, the watch feels light and cheaply made, almost like a children’s watch that I paid 300 bucks for. Armourlite has agreed to swap my armourglass one time of my choosing during my two year warranty and they gave me a code to get the stainless steel band at the price that it would have been if ordered with the watch. Even with all the negatives, I do really like the watch and the tritium is awesome.
