UPDATE: 8/10/17. This watch is STILL great. I still wear it everyday, withstands tons of hand washing. It's pretty, functional and has remained scratch-free. I wear it sometimes accidentally in the shower, no problems. The leather band HAS weathered fine, nice and flexible now. I would say this watch band is a good length for larger hands. I wear it in the second to last hole, and My wrist is about 7" around. I updated my 4 rating to a 5.Original review:Great watch. I am a nurse & I wear it everyday. Very durable and accurate. I wash my hands frequently and the watch withstand getting wet just fine. I do not wear in shower or swimming, though.The watch come nicely packaged, great for a gift, has a warranty as well. The ticking is not overly loud and. Has not scratched at all despite my rather vigorous job. The watch face is clear, easily readable second hand. The tiny crystaly border is shiny and well seated. No loss of any so far.The only thing I am not wild about is the watch band, which I took 1star off the rating. I wish the leather was more easily flexible and would " wear in" a bit so it could be less rigid. I think the quality of the band isn't the best, but is definitely replaceable.I will update reviews that I believe drastically or suddenly are not what I expected.I fell in love with the photo of this watch and wanted to buy it as a birthday gift. It was around $120 used from Amazon.. I could find its siblings online (this is a family of four 651.01 thru 651.04) but not this particular watch anywhere else. I deferred and picked it up at a much better price a month later from a third party seller in NY here on Amazon. In person, it's a lovely watch, and in sufficient light, it sparkles and gleams with certain grace.Is this watch genuine? Without opening it and looking at it the movement, I would say so. Every element of the face and surrounding surface speak to a certain precision and quality. It's Swiss designed and Swiss assembled but most likely manufactured at what is reputedly a Swiss owned factory in China (I cannot verify this but it is probable given various discussion forums). Still after close inspection, I am eminently satisfied with its look and feel. However, as new owners we will have to wait a few years for the true verdict. And that brings up the two year warranty Amazon issued which overrides the warranty in the box.The box was more than satisfactory and came with various paperwork. So to sum it up, I know the Mrs loves it and in the end that is what counts. A very good deal in every way.I gave this watch to my grandmother for her birthday and she loves it. The color and being numbered were the selling points for her, although it's a bit big on her small wrists. Doesn't run slow either but I feel that's expected with the amount your spending.I broke my wife’s other Stuhrling trying to “fix” it, so I ordered out a new Stuhrling I thought was relatively close to the one I ... fixed. Wife couldn’t be happier! The watch came professionally packaged, and the box actually holding the watch is a premium storage container. Wonderful, accurate time, lovely details, and Swarovski crystals. Doesn’t get any better than this.Yes, I love this watch. I wanted a watch that I could see but did not look like a man's watch. It looks beautiful and keeps excellent time. The black numerals are much easier to read than the gold numbers on comparable Stuhrling women's watches. The crown is larger than I thought it would be, and the "diamonds" are smaller than I thought they would be. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful watch.I know this isn't really a fancy watch but it looks and feels like one! I love the little crystals -- they are subtle but sparkly. The band is understated. The face is large but not too large for my relatively small wrist. Very easy to read. It makes me happy just looking at it. I don't think there's anything truly Swiss about it, but the price is right!This watch looks very classy and practical for everyday use . I needed large numbers to see however I have a very small wrist and was worried the face might be to large. It's perfect for both ? Large enough for viewing yet perportionate for a petite wristI bought this watch for my girlfriend. She loved it and wore it every day but unfortunately it broke after only 3 months. Tried getting in contact with manufacturer to RMA but was not successful.I was looking for an elegant watch with leather belt to last, but it had to be hypoallergenic too - as I can get a rash on my skin from brass. This watch has it all! It looks beautiful, it works perfectly well and it is made from high quality materials. It's worth every penny!Lovely watchEasy to read, keeps time, retro style hands, the genuine leather is really soft on the backside. This is a fantastic watch. I bought a different one for my wife last year and I bought this one for my mom for mothers day both are made by Stuhrling I have never had a problem with them and they have a great warranty.
