Foundations of Physiological Psychology 7th Edition - MyPsychKit Series Textbook for Neuroscience & Psychology Students | Ideal for College Courses, Research & Self-Study

I have a PhD in Psych, and studied physiological psych both as undergrad and grad, but not since. Bought this hoping to get up to date on the subject. So I can't judge the book as a specialist, but I can judge it as someone well versed in psychology, and as a good studier and test taker.I found this book informative BUTall facts are treated alike. sometimes it's as if the author just can't help showing off how much he knows as he adds one more name of something you almost certainly will never encounter again. I believe it would be very hard for a student to figure out what is foundational and should be remembered and what can be glossed over. Maybe accompanying materials clarify this, but why should they be necessary?I will finish the book, but what I expected to be exciting as I learned new things about the brain and nervous system, is really, really tedious.Who wants to bet the drop out rate in classes that use this as a text is high?
