Eco-Drive | Purposeful Power The sustainable way to power your watch—no batteries required. Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology powers your watch using the most renewable energy: light. Light to Energy Uses a renewable natural resource by converting any natural or artificial light to energy, which is then stored in a permanently rechargeable lithium-ion cell. Energy Storage Keeps surplus energy in a rechargeable power cell. Designed to charge not just from the sun, but also from everyday light sources like indoor fluorescents and desk lamps. Recharges Continuously Runs for months—even in darkness—with no need for regular battery replacement, so your watch can run forever and you never have to worry about it stopping. (*Update below*)Aside from the band, this watch is perfect. Classy, minimalist style, just as I wanted. Such an easy decision given the price and quality of Citizen Eco Drive technology. Can’t wait to wear it with a black tux at my wedding. The Band: based on reviews and photos, I knew what I was getting myself into when I bought it, so I would give it 4.5/5 stars if I could. The band is definitely stiff, as other reviews warned me, so it doesn’t sit quite right on my wrist without some maneuvering. I’m sure it will break in with time but I’m not crazy about the alligator leather and I’m also not a fan of the tapered width on an already thin band. I ordered a Ritche *genuine* leather band when I bought the watch, assuming I’d want to swap out the band, but didn’t realize it was also tapered just like the original Citizen band (see 3rd photo) so I’m returning it and ordering a Ritche *top grain* leather band instead, as it seems to be the same 20mm width throughout.Overall satisfied because of the price and quality of the product, not going to blame the watch for the style of band when I knew what I was buying ahead of time.*Update*I got the Ritche top grain leather band swapped in and now have the perfect watch to go with a black suit/tux! (See last photo) Would definitely recommend! For the price it’s a wonderful watch , the leather bands could be better but it serves its purpose with its elegance shine and simplicity. Having eco drive on to it also allows it to last almost a life time. Nice watch for a edc ?I own several watches, many of them Swiss automatics. This Citizen by far is becoming my favorite. Unbelievable accuracy, well made, attractive, no battery, affordable, set and forget. What more could you ask for?And for those who stress over no second hand, lemme tell you it actually frees you. Hours and minutes, yes we need to know. Seconds? C'mon! There's something Zen about no second hand; it helps you slow down and mellow out. From an OCD individual this means a lot. Trust me on this and be free. So impressed I ordered another Eco-Drive on Amazon’s Prime Day deal.Ah, yes. The Citizen Corso Eco-Drive Japanese watch. There are many out there as indicated by the reviews on Amazon, I now have one to call my own.Compared to all the modern watches with the latest tech, this one will take you back in time when the days were simpler and we had to download and print maps on mapquest just to get around town. I have one too many g-shocks and a clunky Garmin 'life saving' watch that would allow me to be dropped off anywhere in the world and be able to find my way home. Wearing these watches tho isnt formal event friendly. I bought this Corso as a "dress" watch to wear to weddings to make conversation about how inexpensive this watch is. It won't impress my snooty extended family members with their Omegas, Panerai, and over priced men's jewelry, however the function of letting them know when to stfu is spot on. I just look down at my watch and at any moments notice to tell them what time it is. What a bargain! But I digress... This Citizen watch will do what its suppose to do and tell the time accurately without having to worry about changing the batteries every few years. It has a very simple look and is easy to read without all that bling. There is no anxiety causing seconds hand, so it'll take a little getting used to. Time and Date is incredibly easy to set. I'm not sure why some people on here needs instructions to figure this out, to each their own I guess... In all honesty, I don't go to many weddings so buying this watch was a bit of a lost cause to fill a gaping void in my soul. It's nice to be ready whenever I get that flowerly invitation! The watch is very classy and subtle I really enjoy it but the band is garbage and you’ll need a replacementEs un reloj muy tradicional, de fácil lectura, de tecnología precisa, y de carga muy duradera. Si el gusto es clásico y quieres un reloj de bajo costo, este es muy buena opción.It has blue glow in the dark hands. I thought that this was cheesy for an otherwise nice watch. So I returned it.Very attractive watch and a great value.Nice on my wristThe luminous dial is not as visible in the dark, as other cheaper watches I have purchased in the past, somewhat disappointedExcelente reloj para situaciones formales, denota elegancia y porte, solo es encontrar el color de tu correa a corde al de tu calzado asi como cinturon.
