Read with my 6 yr old son, really into wishing wand, tree etc. Good childish fun, interesting characters who we enjoyed reading about and lovely adventures. Bit more substance than picture books and not as grown up and as long as chapter books, a good transitionGood ValueThis is a lovely book with about 14 short stories for children which my daughter and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading together. I wasn't too sure what age this would be appropriate for before I bought it, however my daughter is 5 and a half and can read it confidently on her own with just the occassional word she needs help with. Stories include 'The Wishing Wand' and 'The Toys Go on Strike' which has proved to be a favourite already. The stories are generally between 10-20 pages long, with black and white pen illustrations inside. It has a very classic childhood feel and even though the copy I bought was second hand it is in fantastic condition. I will definitely buy some more from this series for my daughter, they are lovely children's books with a vintage feel and hark back to innocent days when there were no such things as computer games etc Highly reccomended!Book was nice and also in a nice condition but the only problem was that the delivery of the book was too late. But no problem..loved it
